Ambassadors

Meet the Mizbiz ambassadors who believe in our mission and openly support our initiative.

Caroline Elliot

Managing Partner of Quattrain

‘It’s really important that women help each other to develop their skills and grow their confidence because they can and will succeed but only if they believe in themselves. Mizbiz provides a safe and welcoming environment to share experiences, to network and to learn new things in a creative way - I think it will be a huge success.’

Marieke van Bommel

Director of the MAS Museum Antwerp

‘To me, being in a top position as a woman and mother is a non-issue. I really never saw a difference in the capability of a man or woman. Of course one person is maybe more talented than the other but that is not defined by gender. So, you need to chase your dreams and face you fears. Asking yourself the question: What is the worst that can happen? If the answer is failing, or you don’t like what you are doing, you just go back home and start over. The key is making sure you have a good support team. Don’t think you have to do everything by yourself. Get your agenda blocked between 17.00-19.00 so you can eat and play with your child. Organize a cleaning lady, if that is what you need. Organize coaching to reflect. Don’t think asking help is a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength. You can do it! (Why not?)’

Annick de Kimpe

Judge at Rechtbank van Koophandel Antwerp

‘In Africa there is a saying, ’If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’ Together, women can do so much more than alone. This is one of the reasons why Mizbiz is really needed ! Congratulations to Noemi, Jennifer, Laura and Jessica for launching this new initiative. I am convinced that Mizbiz will be a wonderful source of inspiration and a great motivation for many of us.’

‘Every day I work with women who undermine their professional success in many subtle ways by using a voice and body language that says “I am not confident; I am not powerful.” Showing them how they are sabatoging themselves and how to take their “place” in the professional world is part of my life’s work. And a funny thing happens when women start using a stronger voice and body language - they not only LOOK more powerful, they FEEL more powerful. I congratulate Mizbiz for boosting women up the ladder of success by helping them discover just how powerful they really are!’

Nabilla Ait Daoud

Alderman of Antwerp

‘Women possess all the natural talents needed to thrive professionally. They just need the confidence and the right triggers to get rid of that feminine self-doubt impacting their professional aspirations. That’s why I‘m looking forward to contribute to this great initiative that aims at maximizing female potential. It’s no secret that networking and lifelong learning are keys in achieving professional success. It‘s also common knowledge that women network differently than men. I’m confident that Mizbiz will allow motivated and passionate women to interact with each other and create meaningful relationships that will help them unleash their full potential.’

Susan West

Leadership Consultant, Coach, Angel Investor

‘As women, we can have it all…just not all at once. When we accept that, the world opens up for us. I’m on my second career and feel I have a third or fourth in me. Each phase brought better balance in life, a chance to explore different interests, learn new things and have broader cultural references. Every woman needs to feel comfortable bringing exactly who she is to what she does. If you don’t, make a change. There is room for all of us at Mizbiz, where a diverse group of women gather to learn, share, challenge and encourage. The Mizbiz experience is what a 21st-century professional women’s association looks and feels like.’
